PANCREAS,

The surface waa light grey-yellow, rocgh, end appareatly foliated. At the
surface of the central region, vare about ten arcas of fat gancrene, the
size of millet grain. The lover part of tho pancress, <.t the gastropancreatic ligameit, also presented one spot of yellow fst gangrene
tho size of a millet grain. Slight congestion vas obssrved near the
pangrenous part 01 the surface of the pancreas; one e.travasated racula
the size of the tip of the thunb was noted at the ronr of othor tail
are2s, The organ eas indurated and ligavental, suspestive of an inzrease
in stroma.
In section it was mot¢erately tarbid. The gangrene nidi in
section were limited to the head and central regions, and did not appear
ia the tail region,
STCS*CH. The stousch was inflated. The interior was deficient in
plica ead the mucous membrane hishly atrophied. The surface was covered
by a large qgaantity of thick grey-white mucus; at the front curvature
of the antraig pylori was an area of furring about 2 cm square (white
thrush); and a furred area about the size of the head of a hatpin caused
by grsen, irtegiler filamentous funeus was observed on the magenatrasse
one cn aray. White masces of riculee, presuvably fron fileeeatous fungus,
vera noted in places at the lover part of the cardia. The mucous fap urane
emnerally wis roderately edematous; the capillaries of the nagenstrasse
were preninently swollen and inflaned. Signs of extravasation were Seon
below the mucous merbrane., Host of the ratter which had inflated the
stexich as relatively nonoffengsive gra; the aforecrcntioned muces was

INTESTINAL TRACE
ULJENUH, Contents: grey mucous liquid, about 5 cc; moderate capil~
lary congestion in the mucous membrane. Vater's papilla was clearly
eninent but not enlarged. Small Intestine. Contents: thick yellow eucus.
At various places on the ridges of the plicaewere hemorrhages in or under
the mucoug mexbrane about the size of the tip of the little finger. The
mucous merbrane in gencral vas moderately edematous; the lymphatic
tissue was rot vory distinct. Large Intestine. Presinent edematous
gvelling ia the mucous evivrane. Contents: soft feces full of light
yellow races with 6.311 specks of red blood in places. The thickness of
the wall was about 0.7 ca at the transverse colon.

LYUPA NCDLS. The fynph nojes of the mesentery were all sraller than
a@ pia and flat, grey-white and light red in color, The appearance in
eection tug watery. The lymph nodes of the lateral abdoszinal eorta were
sraller than the tip of the little finger and spherical; they were greybroayn in section.
PLLVIC ONGANS
BLIDDIR. The urine in the bladder measured about 60 ce, it was
rown and thick. The muccus pembrane of the bladder was heavily jaundiced. The mucous nexnbrane of the triangle was slightly edematous; there
was capillary congestion and herorrhage. The prostate was not thick.
Pressure on tha seminal vesicle did not produce a gush of sezen.
