Pursuant to informal conversation with
CAF, five L-5 airplanes
will arrive Alamagardo 2 March from Biggs Field with pilot and crew chiefs
for purpose cf accomplishing radiation training as requested by Capt. Lyon.
It is requested that these airplanes be equipped with Geiger Counters
fly low over New Mexico atomic bomb test area in order to familiarize
appropriate personhe] with techniques of Gieger counter operation and inter=
pretation.
In view of the short time availabe, request training to be expedited
and informal training summary be forwarded weekly to Commander Joint Task
Force as of 2400 each Saturday.
