Pery - Drought Relief
The US embassy in Lima believes that official and public concern over
the effects of the 1956 drought and worse prospects for 1957 are rapidly
mounting. The embassy believes that the US position in Peru would be
seriously damaged if we renege on what the Peruvians, the US embassy and
the USOM consider a firm commitment to provide necessary relief.
