The manuscript ooncerning X-ray treatment of certain plankton
organisms was condensed according to prospective publisherts
suggestions and on July 9, was mailed to Science for publication
under the title, "Lethal effect of X-rays on marine microplankton
organisms",
IIT. Weekly, or more frequent, written contact has been maintained
between the portions of the staff at Bikini and in Seattle.

On July 19, Mr. Phil. A. Olson of the 146 Building, Hanford
Engineer Works, Richland, Washington, consulted with the University
of Washington staff, and obtained supplies for the fish at Hanford.
On July 15 and 16, Atomic Energy Commission Class B property
items were given numbered tags by Mr. Carl D. Friswold and Mr.
Willet Keith from the Hanford Engineer Works.
