Project 6.5 ~ Analysis of Flectromignetic Pulse Produced by a

OBITCTIVE
The objective of Project 6.5 is to obtain waveforms of the
electromagnetic rajiation for all the detonations during Operation
REDWING,
This data is to be used in connection with a continuing
study relating the waveforms parameters to the height ani yield of
the detonation,
INSTRUMTNTATION
Two identical stations are used to record data, one at Fniwetok
ani one at Kwajalein.
The instrumentation consists of a wide~band reeciver with a
separate output connected to each of the three oscilloscopes.
Mounted
on each oscilloscope is a Polarcii Land Camera for reccrding the transient display.

Positive results obtained on fast and medium sweep speed oscilloscopes,
The signalsobtained were of good quality.
The slow sweep

The predicted fieli strength was 50 volts per meter and the mea-
sured field strencth was 26 volts per meter.
