last year’s counts shows the leukocytes to have
droppedslightly in contrast to the steady increase
seen at six months, one year, and twoyearsafter
exposure. However, the present control groupalso
showsa correspondingly lower mean than the control groups of previous years.
The numbersof neutrophils were slightly higher
than in the unexposed group in both the >5 and
<5-year-old age groups (Table 6 and Figure 7).
Figure 8 showsthe agedistribution of individual
neutrophil counts compared to the meancontrol
level. The counts are seen to be distributed about
equally above and below the mean controllevel.
Among the exposed people, 9 (14.5%) showed
neutrophil counts below 2500, and 15 (17.6%) of
the unexposed people showed countsatthis level.
