Description of Work
The issue of this Engineering Order authorizes the above action addressees to prepare
separate plan sets, separate cost estimates and construction time schedules for
rehabilitation of each of the Rad-Safe Stations at Sites Wotho, Ujelang and Utirik, all
in accordance with requirements outlined in Paragraphs 6 and 7 of reference confidential
letter (A) dated February 11, 1957, as modified by reference letter (B), corrected with
réference Teletype (C).
Flans and cost estimates will be forwarded to Home Office Estimating Department for
further processing.

Reference Letter (B) is quoted es follows:
"You are hereby authorized to design and prepare estimetes for Weather and Rad-Safe
Stations as requested in JTF-7 letter dated February 11, 1957.
"Estimates should be prepared for each single location for both the new stations
and the rehabilitetion of existing stations as funding for this project has not
been definitely determined.
“During recent meetings in Washington vericus suggestions in regard to design were
offered as follows:
1.
Tanks for potable water are to be fabricated of non-corrosive material.
