Dear Tean Member,
Plans for the sixth medical survey of the Marshallese at 4 years post exposure
have progressed to the point where a general statement of the situation is de-
sircable,

pleased at the fine spirit of cooperation between the various agencies involved,
The Navy has come through again with their splendid support and we now have an
LST, the PLUMAS COUNTY #1083, assigned for our survey, The skipper's name is
Lt, J. N. Casseday, USN, Lt, Cdr, Hamilton also promised Naval support in ob~
taining M.TS travel with necessary priority for team and cargo, Aside from

decisions on various aspects of the program, The form letter which I widely
circulated has also resulted in helpful suggestions, The final plans for stud—
ies are not complete and further communication will be forthcoming as the program gels, Piease send your suggestions soon if you have not done so,
Ve are sorry to lose the services of Ed, Rall, Brad Cannon and Chief Schork
this year but maybe they will rejoin us on a future survey, We are fortunate

by mid-December and will be shipped (by ship) to Honolula along with our Medical
equipment to be orloaded onto the Plumas’ County for Kwajalein, Jim Robertson
and Maynard Eicher will supervise the insteiletion aboard the LST, The mid-
December shipment of medical equipment makes it mandatory that if you have any
equipment or supplies that you need, they should be ordered right away if you
want the material to go with this shipment from BNL,
