ABSTRACT
Logistical support activities by Reynolds Electrical & Engineering
Co.,
Inc.
(REECo),
are discussed for the collection,
preparation,
and
shipment of the Nevada Applied Ecology Group's (NAEG) soil, vegetation,
small animal, and large animal samples.
The samples were taken from
the NAEG plutonium program intensive-study areas at the Nevada Test
Site
(NTS)
and the Tonopah Test Range
(TTR)
during the period of
September 1974 to March 1, 1975.
REECo activities in support of the NAEG high-level radioactivity
sample facility at NRDS,
NTS,
are also discussed.
DATA SUMMARY
During the period September 1974 to March 1, 1975, the following
operations were completed:
Three hundred twenty (320) soil samples were collected, 484 aliquots
were prepared, and 463 aliquots were shipped to analysis laboratories.
From previous collections of 38 animals, 114 small animal tissue
samples were prepared and shipped for analysis.
One hundred forty-
one large animal samples were shipped to Eberline Instrument Corporation for analysis and 196 to LFE Environmental Analysis Laboratories.
