AN ACT
To create a Special Joint Committee concerning Rongelap and Utirik
Atolls, to appropriate mon2y therefor and for other purposes.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS OF MICRONESIA:

Section 1.
Statement of Intent.
During the period from

1945 to 1958 the United States of America exploded atomic wea-

pons on Bikini and Eniwetok Atolls in the Marshall Islands Dis-—

trict.

and Utirik Atolls in the Marshall Islands District were exposed

to irradiation and have been and are suffering serious ill ef-

fects and medical disorders.

Creation of Special Committee.

and Utirik Atolls hereinafter referred to as the Special Committee.

House of Representatives.
