Dr. Shellabarger pointed out that some of your comments in respect to corditions under waich the Marshallese live are poten- tially "hot" political items and could be used against the United States in United Nations etc. The United States did not make the conditicns but under U. S. Trusteeship going back to 1947, they have hot been corrected. Please rewrite so that there are no statements tha& can be misunderstood by Marshallese Congress etc. and used against the U. S. Atomic Energy Commission oraher U. &. agencies. 4 Readers will Slmost certainly want to know about the mage =| nitude of the initial radiation injury. This could bebest covered by referring to the Journal of the American Medical Association article that is easily available to anyone im any library. 5. Everyone I believe in addition to me will ask the simple question of what are the results om the irradiated population. Control and Rongelap should be in same report. 6.
