As we recall, this string of islands was being dis- cussed further in hopes that it would be declared safe for continuous habitation. In two weeks members of my staff will be attending a planning meeting in Majuro with the Bikini leadership to determine when families may actually be returned to their atoll. We would like to be able to report on the Peter-Oboe-Tare complex at that time. Please advise us on the status of these islands at your earliest convenience.
