back-scattered thermal radiation,
The twenty one basic thermal instru-
ments poSseS8ed various fields of view and were suitably filtered to
obtain qualitative spectral distribution information,
All channels
were recorded on Consolidated Recorders except the six back-scatter
channels in the B-47 which were recorded on magnetic tape,
The cameras
were equipped with red and blue filters to obtain information at each
end of the visible region of the spectrum.
Several cameras were equipped
with spectroscopic attachments to obtain continuous spectra in the
visible region,
Two of these spectrographs were operated at the E.CG.&.
Chieerete (William) photo tower.
