CHAPTER 4
ORGANIZATION
4.1
During the interim, the planning, the
build-up, and part of the roll-up periods
relating to Operation HARDTACK,the main-
tenance and development of EPG were the responsibility of the Assistant Manager for the
Office of Test Operations as delegated to him by
the Manager, ALO, (See Figs. 1-8 and 1-9).
During the-e periods. the CJTF-Seven exercised
no direct jurisdiction over EPG activities. He
was. however. responsible for performing opera-
tiona] planning and coordination.

Operations, ALO, AEC, assumed the duties and
responsibilities of the CTG 7.5. The Director,
Pacific Operations Division, ALO, was the
Deputy Commander, and the Chief, Eniwetok
Branch, AEC, was the Chief of Staff. The personnel for the staff came fram the Office of Test
Operations, ALO; the Eniwetok Branch Office,
AEC; the Las Vegas Branch Office, AEC; and
HEN.
