that four basic characteristics summarize relationship botween
governments and groups forced to move from traditional lands,
as follows:

due process for the cultural group;

Information gained from an assessment. of these characteristics provides one with a basic understanding of the nature of
intergroup relationships.

The pressing issue,

however,

is the

consequences produced by forcing a cultural group to relocate.
