Iam now advised by the 5 ivision of Biology & Medicine and the Division of Information Services 6 that the medical team and the Government Printing Office have cometed their work on the book concerning the radiation experiences of the Marshallese and Americans off attaching a copy oi the book. Dr. Dunham will inform you from his Division of the content and plans for distribution among the medical profession of this book which helps materi to substantiate our repeated pledges tha we wouldissue ioformationas biomed cal possible soon as after it, was available, The book will be on the shelves inthe Superintendent of Documents’ office for sale. . . The distribution plan by AEC to the medical and related pr ofencions will go on during October and be completed early in November, probably. I have instructed the Division of Information Services to proceed late this afternoon with notification to the Department of State and the USIA of the fact that the book will be distributed this month. (I understand copies will be supplied to the UN Committee on Radiation, which meets on October 25.) We will, of course, send forward a letter of notification and copies of the book to the Joint Committee on Atomic Energy late today.
