PeriodicaJ/ly, a reassessment of radiological conditions in the atoll is made and report published. The survey and reporting efforts operate appyéximately on a one-year cycle. This followup radiological survey wil be extended to include Enewetak Atoll and its residents when cleanup/and rehabilitation actiyities in that atoll are completed. Brookhaven National Laboratory, University of Ashington, and the Lawrence Livermore Laboyatory are ERDA cont ¢tors for this work. The budget level is about 400 to 250 thousand ollars per year. There is a high degree of cooperation between s f of these contractors and frequent publicatl of findings in reports and in the scientific literature. The program provides means for assessing the quality of these environmepts as related t radiological health and safety of the Bikini and etak people. L.
