Conard uw awe SUBJECT: Visitors - January 15th This is to inform you that on January 15th Dr. Bertram Kraus from the Cleft Palate Research Institute, University of Pittsburgh, and Mr. Royce from Elwin Institute, Pennsylvania visited me. Dr. Kraus has been studying dental casts of the Marshallese and believes he has found interesting changes in the tooth crown. However he also finds changes in the control population so that it will be necessary for us to carry out further casts on an entirely different control population of children which we intend to do on the next survey. Dr. Kraus is submitting a request for a research grant to the AEC to study the effects of radiation on tooth crown development at various stages of fetal gestation. low dose effects. He believes that he can detect Mr. Royce from the Elwin Institute is also backing this study apparently.
