Energy Support Division Pacific Operations Contractor FY 1984 MARSHALL ISLANDS & RELATED HEALTH PROGRAMS BUDGET CALL (HA) Narrative Overview Statement Each of the tasks comprising the Work Package is of a supportive nature, and costs reflect the types and scope of support required by the basic Bio-Med and Mid-Pacific Research Laboratory programs functioning in the Marshall Islands area of the Pacific. In the absence of any firm specification from the operators of the basic programs as to yearly requirements, budget estimates are based on the knowledge and experience of PASO and Holmes & Narver. This situation creates a possibility of significant changes whenever any new factor might be introduced by one of the scientific users. Such a circumstance occurred in FY 1981 when the Medical Surveys program increased the number of Marshallese patients sent to Hawaii for treatment and the cost of such treatments increased dramatically.
