A total of 14 full scale tests ond one safety test were ccrricd out by
LASL in Operation HARDTACK.
Two of the tests were hevily instrumented oni
for this reason were fired on land.
‘The other thirteen were fired on barges
to facilitate readiness and minimizo contcomination problems,
