About two houre out of Rabaul our party had been queried as to
whether we desired lunch upon arrival.
We proceeded, therefore, to
the Cosmopolitan Hotel and luncheon following our greeting at the plane
by the following individuals:

The latter was not a mexber of the official party, but attached himself
inmediately~-with questions.
Following a graciously accepted response
of "We are in no position to comment so soon after our arrival", Mr.
Sniles permitted us to depart for the hotel.
Our group noticed that
he had taken pictures as we deplened.
After lunch and a perusal of Dr. Haszler's file of records which
included original interviews (questions and answers) by him and SubInspector Stewart, the team boarded the TAKUYO MARU at the dock.

employed by the Japanese Salvage Company working in the harbor.
Our party was greeted at the head of the gangplank with formality,
but smilingly, by the Captain and his officers, all of whom rendered
