In general, they adopt the radiation protection guides of the Federal Radiation Council (FRC), except for all-individual dose limits and for population group gonad dose limits. The FRC individual dose guides are reduced by 50 percent and the FRC population group gonad dose guide is reduced by 20 percent to allow'for uncertainties in dose predictions. 5-9
