The cost section of the report is being prepared by the Finance Division, A100. It is desired that the cost section include a schedule showing the cost of scientific activity by test program. Therefore, we will need from each organization participating in AEC test activity a report covering its participation. It will be appreciated if you will arrange with your contractor, University of California Radiation Laberatory, to furnish us a cost report for Operation Redwing as of August 31, 1956, in accord- ance with the attached format. If a breakdown of costs by program is not readily available from the contractor's records, the distribution by program may be estimated on an equitable basis. In order that we can met established dead lines, it will bemcessary that the report requested above be received in this office not later than September 17, 1956.
