Press Release Concerning Evacuation of Natives After March 1}
Detonation
The Commissioners considered the proposed text of a press announce-~
ment concerning the transfer of islend residents and task force personnel
from islands in the Marshall Group subsequent to the first detonation in
the current series,
After extensive discussion, it was determined that Mr, Strauss would
be informed of the text of the proposed release and, if he approved, the
concurrences of other interested Government agencies would be requested.
