1. Review of draft Special Report on the U.S, Interim Program.
&
Part one of the draft Special Report was approved by the Group.
It was agreed that the AEC would make a public announcement of the
various programs within ten days, and would coordinate the timing of the
release with USIA.

It.was further agreed that high-level ceremonies

should mark the opening of the Reactor School at Argonne on or about
March 20, 1955, and that an invitation might be extended to Mr. Rockefeller
to speak at the ceremonies in view of its significance to the President's
Program. Detailed information plan for the opening of the school will be
prepared by AEC for review by the Working Group.
2.
Information Planning for International Conference.
After discussion by the Working Group, State agreed to advise
Dr. Rabi with respect to the importance of having information problems
kept to the fore at the first meeting of the Secretary General's
* Advisory Committee, which will be held in New York January 17. Special
’ eonsideration would be given to the designation of an information task
foree to be present at the Conference itself,
