PREFACE This report is the final summary of the millitary-effect test program conducted during Operation Castle at the Eniwetok, then called the “Paoific,’’ Proving Ground in the spring of 1954. It has been prepared by the Director, Test Division, and his staff of the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Weapons Effects Tests', Field Command, AFSWP. This report (WT-934} supersedes the preliminary summary (ITR-934), which was prepared a month after the last shot was fired on Operation Castle.
