4-13 Article VII Concluding Provisions Section 471 (a) The Government of the United States and the Governments of the Marshall Islands and the Federated States of Micronesia agree that they have full authority under their respective _ Constitutions to enter into this Compact and its related agreements and to fulfill all of their respective responsibilities in accordance with the terms of this Compact and its related agreements. The Governments pledge that they are so committed. (b) Each of the Governments of the United States, the Marshall Islands and the Federated States of Micronesia shall tak: all necessary steps, of a general or particular character, to ensure, not later than the effective date of this Compact, the conformity of its laws, regulations and administrative procedures with the provisions of this Compact. (c) Without prejudice to the effects of this Compact under international law, this Compact has the force and effect of a statute under the laws of the United States. Section 472 This Compact may be accepted, by signature or otherwise, by the Government of the United States, the Government of the Marshall Islands, and the Government of the Federated States of Micronesia. Each Government accepting this Compact shall possess an original English language version. IN signed effect United WITNESS WHEREOF, the undersigned, duly authorized, have this Compact of Free Association which shall come into in accordance with its terms between the Government of the States and each of the other Governments signatory to this Compact. g
