Dear Mrs. Hughes:
Under separate cover I am sending to you the 1.0 ml
volumetric pipette which I used for the individual doses of
the Marshallese people on whom total body water determinations
were made, You will of course note that the pipette is broken
but this was done after the completion of the experiment. The
same pipette was used for each of the patients. The sera,
preserved with thymol, wiil be sent to you by Dr. Conard early
next week. He will also send you the hei;:ht and weight of
each of the patients. Will you please send me the results
after you have completed counting the samples. I think you
should also know that many of these people received Cr 51
at the same time as the tritiated water.
I shall need from you the appropriate formulae for
