Ru.DIOLOGICAL SAFETY IN "FALL-OUT" PERIOD
1, GENERAL:
There exists the possibility of radiclogical "fall-out" on
ENIVETOK ISLAND during the operaticnal period, In crder to insure thrt
this conmnd takes the maximum advantage of prctective measures, the
radiolo,ical defense organization will function as dolineated herein,
2, MISSION:
The following missions, assigned to CTG 7.2 by CJTF SEVEN
Operation Ordar No 3-53 apply:

Perform all ground monit.ring services associated with

Provide cwn radiac equipment and protective clothing,
c,
Provide own repair, spere parts end calibration fasilitics
d.
Provide contasdnated clothing laundry facilities for TG 7.4.

MISSIONS FOR SUBORDINATE UNITS ND ACTIVITIES:
a. The Task Group Readsafe Officer will maintain a continuous
reading monit«ring instrument at S3 Section, Task Group 7.21 This
equipment will show radiction level at Headquarters, Task Group 7.2 and
will be used to make decisions as to the radiological safety of the
Task Group.

b. Unit Ccmaanders,’ using their own radsafe soctions and such
thackup! monitors as their’ unit my have available (see letter, this
headquarters, "Rediological Safety Backup Monitors", 4 "eb 54), will
keep in cperation one Radiac AN/PDP 27 4.
This instrument will re-
main in operation 0600-2200 hrurs nily in each uiit crecrly reor,
excopt oney exch hour, a monitor will make a sweep thrcugh the unit
arca with the instrument. This monitoring will begin at H-hour and
end when unit is notified by Radsafe Officer, Task Crctvup 7.2 that the
