Box E Qak Ridge, Tennessee 37830 Dear Dr. Yarbro: During the interval October 18 to November 8, 1974, inclusive, staff members of PRNC are scheduled to conduct a resurvey at Bikini Atol?, Marshall Islands as a part of our Bikini Project. According to our present plans the following PRNC men will carry out this work: Frank George Lowman Seppo Kolehmainen José Angel Rivera Colén Michael Eugene Lowman All of these men participated in the last Bikini survey carried out by PRNC. On or about flonday, October 14, 1974, the above-named men should depart by plane from Hickam AFB, Honolulu, Hawaii for Kwajalein, Marshall Islands. to Bikini Atoll]. At Kwajalein they will board a chartered aircraft It will not be necessary for them to go to Eniwetok Atoll at any time during the trip. , During the last Bikini Survey we were required to obtain security clearance since we entered Kwajalein and went into Eniwetok Atoll. If security clearance is required we may have some problems. Dr. Seppo Kolehmainen is not a U.S. citizen, but rather, is a citizen of Finland. Therefore, I believe that he cannot’ be given security clearance. We were able to take him on the last survey since we had our own ship. We would like to learn what arrangements, if any, can be made for Dr. Kolehmainen to fly from Hickam to Kwajalein, stay there on in-transit status, fly on to Bikini and return.
