Survey Around the Enrico Fermi Atomic Power Plant There were ten rain-sampling and nine air-sampling locations used in the environmental survey around the Fermi Reactor. Figure 1 shows the locations of these sampling sites. The area included in this survey is roughly 500 square miles. The terrain is relatively flat, and the wind blows predominantly from the southwest.
