As_you recall, the Donner Human Use Committee has extended
approval of our protocol for study of tor studies in human subjects.
Our studies to date show extremely interesting kinetics
of this trace element in 8 patients with hemochromatosis and in
one normal subject. __-Slearly we need to define the normal kinetic
pattern with more subjects.

I would like te-ask your approval to pay 5 volunteer subjects
to take part in this study. - The maximum amount of money to be
paid to each will be $159.00, although we may be able to reduce
this as we find we don't need some of the data.

payment for time will be approximate~
ly $125.00 for 50 hours, and $25.00 for 500 cc of blood drawn over
the whole study.
