paragraph reference telegram. Reply encl:ses sealed letter
for Dr. Boss, AEC, from Dr. Tomoo Otaka, acting president
Japan Science Council (JSC) and informs Embassy of positions
and desires of JSC regarding conference as follows:
1. Re handling press releases JSC accepts AEC understanding
of single joint daily official release.
2.
Re number conferees JSC considers appropriate add two or
three to discuss effectively fourth agenda item "use of radio
isotopes and radiation in agricultural and biological research".
Inclusion this item by AEC proposal warmly endorsed by JSC.
3.
%<JSC concurs conference discussions be limited to specified
agenda agreed in advance including suggestions contained in
letter from Dr. Otaka to Dr. Boss. JSC of opinion "medical
problems" not to be included in agenda be understood to mean
clinical problems".
