the Air Transport Vommand, was placed under operational control of Task
Group 7.4 to provide supply and re-supply service to the island groups
involved.

type aircraft obtained from Air Force, Army and Navy sources, was estab-
lished on Eniwetok Island to provide air transportation between points in
