McMillan LLC Me Subject: AVAILABILITY OF ENIWETOK PROVING GROUND TO AEC 7 The following pertinent paragraph is quoted from the AEC-DOD Agreement concerning the transfer of the Eniwetok Proving Ground, its facilities and equipment, dated July 2, 1960. “7. DOD agrees that the EPG will continue to be available to AEC for any activity which the AEC may later need to conduct at the EPG, provided such activity will be accomplished without cost to the DOD and without undue interference with the essential activities of the DOD at EPG." Based on the above, it appears that the AEC rights on EPG are limited to the sufferance imposed by the DOD. I am requesting ALO to furnish DMA a summary of the AEC property and facilities remaining at EPG along with a statement as to its physical condition. I will advise you of their response. s001117 ~e
