Purpose and Scope, This Regulation announces the procedure for handling requests from the Federal Civil [efense Administration (FCDA)] and other civil and governmental agencies for data obtained from nuclebr tests and supporting research projects. personnel possessing such information. Processing Requests. Requests for information on nuclear weapqdns test results and supporting research projects will be handled as follo ae Request from FCDA will be forwarded to the Chief, Armed Forces Special Weapons Project, Washington 25, D.C.,for action, be Requests from other civil and governmental agencies for civil defense purposes will be referred to FCDA for action. ¢. Requests from other civil and governmental agencies in the Field for other than civil defense purposes will be declined with a propopal that the request be referred to the requesting agency's national hefRdquarters. This arrangement will insure transmittal of the latest, most akcurate information to FCDA and other agencies, and at the same time will pfevent inadvertent release of information which is contrary to the best inferests of the Department of Defense.
