responsibilites of Jensen Young as the group leader of the Airborne
Engineering Group and the section leader for Engineering in the
Health Chemistry Department (with some additional records
documenting his leadership of the Special Technology Group and
Safety Technology Group in the Engineering and Technical Services
Division).
The Airborne Engineering Group was responsible for all

air treatment engineering and maintenance of airborne equipment at

Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory (formerly Lawrence Radiation
Laboratory).
The records include publications relating to health
chemistry equipment and techniques, ventilation equipment design
drawings, radioautographs of filter queen samples, schematics, plant
engineering drawings, correspondence, draft notes, unit progress
reports, memoranda, job orders, project authorizations, filter test
results, and personnel photographs.
Also included are some files of
Myron D. Thaxter of the Health Chemistry Department.
The records
were maintained by the Environment, Health & Safety Division,
Environment Department, Environmental Protection.
