132 (JTF 132) was activated on 9 July 1951 for the purpose of conducting Operation IVY at ENEWEPTOK ATOLL during 1952..

On 21 May 1952 JcS authorized Chief of °taff, US Army, Executive

Agent to broaden the existing directives of JTF 132 to include the
execution of the CASTLE tests as follows:

The Chief of -taff, US Army is designated as Sxecutive Agent

for the ENIWETOK tests scheduled for the Fall of 1953, Operation
