Wolf, MA AEC~DOD LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING Item "a" under DNA's paragraph indicates planning for anycleanup. Obviously, the planning for radiological cleanup cannot be done for a long time, hence, this term "any cleanup" is to vague to go unchallanged. Note the requirement placed by the General Manager in his October 27, 1972 memo that "No additional assistance is to be provided to DOD in furtherance of the PACE program ...". It is suggested that more concise wording be used, such as: a. Aw Gather information necessary for the development of plans involving the physical cleanup of Eniwetok Atoll. An engin- eering survey defining the physical condition of buildings and other assorted materials and debris will be necessary." Robert E.
