2. The undersigned acted as JTF SiVEN and TG 7.1 representative

by the project officers concerned, the details in this report are con-~

fined to lb and lc.

It is noted that the scope of activities lb and ld was more

limitsd than had originally bsen planned.

s&s will be clear from the re-

port of the NICHOLS, this was because 26 March became R-l] after ths work
started. Thanks mainly to the excellent planning and management of Capt.

Joseph fliot and sxecutive Oificer Cliiford Frink, much more was accom~

plished than might reasonably have been expected under these circumstances.
le and lz were accomplished essentially as planned, but la had to be
omitted.

4. Ths radsafe ra-survey was conducted by Mr. P.R. Schiavone of TG
7.1, TU-7, using two recently calibrated AN/PDR-39 instruments. Readings
on Rongelap Island were taken during the morning and on the oth-r islands

during the afternoon of 26 March.
