As of the 1st of Decenbder, 950 mattresses had been packaged
and 285 eots; due to the delay in getting delivery of mattresses and
pillow bags from the States, this work can progress no faster than
they arrive.
Tw hundred gallons of solvent for the plastic mtertal which the
cots are dipped in, has been ordered from the States.
This is to thin
the solvent which has a tendency to thicken very fast when the top of
the dip tank is off; when this is received, dipping of cots will be
much faster,
.
On 29 October a crew of man were taxen to Japtan where 124 mat
tresses and 117 pillows were peckaged.
These itens were stored in ths
animal laboratory.
