Upoa arrival et Eniwetok on 9 November 1951, {it was found that
only the preservation saterials had arrived and they wre on the sam
plane as the undersigned,
This was only pert of the supplies order
shipped by air from the States ami delivered to Travis AFB by the
Sériter on 3 October 1951 and 1 November 191,
There were other supplies end equipment needed to start work
and therefore the actual work of packaging mattresses and processing
cots was not started until the 19th of Novexber 1951,
while waiting for supplies to arrive the tine was spent construse
tiag tables for we im packing mttresses, jiggs for packing pillows
and constructing a Dip Tank snd aonveyor line for dipping cots.A survey was made during this tire of the 10 buildings in which
all supplies were stored,
This represented approxinately 45,000 square
feet of storage space and consisted of supplies belonging to the Ord~
nance Corps, Quartermaster Corps, Signal Corps and the Corps of Engi-
neers,
