the proliferation picture v2s scarcely encointered. There were inflarsed
areas in places. Lymph nodeles were few, especially in the intestines;
they were atrophic and hetorrkagic in places. Mr. Okuhira has also deronstrated thet the mold from the furring in the gastric micosa corresponded
to the macroscopic impresgion: Candida albicans and Aspargillus funigatus.
ll. The parenchyma of the pancreas presented regressive degeneration
in the form of turbid swelling; the stroma was slightly. increased.
scas=
ional fatty developuent in the parenchyra and henoisidcrin gormandization
vere recognized,
Spotty adinsse necrosis foci accospanied scall, slight

The gland cells of the hypozhysis ani the cells of the supra~
eval cortex were alse degenerative, Tnere was a highly atrophied part
in the glemer:le layer, togethor with a strongly regenerative part. The
blood vessels of the two organs vere dilated. The thyroid gland sresented the pictare of functioral decline.

In one part of the oesophagua there was degenerative excoriation
of the epithelial cells; in another part the deeper cells of the stratua
gernminativom had proliferated and reached to the surface. The lover
lsyer of the micesa was atrophic with slight infiltration of lymphocytes
and plasn~ cells; tho capillarics were dilated.
14. YVhe epithelial layer of the bronchial mucosa was mostly degenerated and exfoliated; the srea below the mucosa was extrenely edematous,
and platelets, neutrophiles and tissue cells were observed in places.
The blood vessels presented a picture of stasis, and cepeneration of
vacuoles of the cartilaginous cells and was observed togother with concentration of nuclei. Cholenic degeneration was scen in the brain.
