5. Conclusions
A procedure is presented for the extraction and analysis of
total strontium-90 in soil.
Available evidence shows it to be highly
efficient as campared to the fusion technique for most soils and
certainly more effective than other extraction methods.
From an
analytical standpoint, the precision is adequate and the limiting
factor in the determination is the error due to sampling.

of site Selection and sampling technique cannot be over-emphasized.
