The responsibility for radio-biclogical experiments in the next set of overseas tests will be with Dr. Brues of the Argonne National Laboratory. Wright Langham of this _ Laboratory will advise me on detaiis of this program. 2. Dr. Harry Whipple will serve with Colonel Cooney on the radiological safety group for the next operation and will go to Eniwetok with Colonel Cooney, Dr. Morgan, and Dr. Parker in early February to make decisions on the crater decontamination work. One monitor will be supplied by the Health Division to stay until the three sero islands are completely decontaminated. 3. This monitor and one other will be assigned by the Health Division _ to work with the radiological safety group mnitil the tests have been completed. 4.. It was agreed that as long as there is no appreciable number of University of California employees overseas it will be acceptable for Holmes and Narver to hire a doctor to take care of general health and medical problems overseas provided the doctor's name be subaitted to this Laboratory for approval.
