The views of the Atomic Energy Commission on those aspects of the attached report of interest to the Commission are requested in order that planning and preparation for this project may proceed on a firm basis, 3. The Joint Chiefs of Staff have requested the Research and Development Board to review the proposed armed forces experi- mental programs. You will be advised of the views of the Re- search and Development Board when these are received, 4, The Joint Chiefs of Staff are aware that the planned dates of tests will be the subject of further consultation with the President.
