OSC -4by the Assistant Manager for Engineering/Logistics and the Director, PASO, in matters of field support. Within this framework, NV's responsibilities to DOS under this project are as follows: A. Through its contractor/agency relationships, develop a survey and cleanup study program to meet DOS overall objectives. Execute the field programs; arrange and provide field support as required. On completion of the field surveys and cleanup study, perform the required laboratory sample analysis work on which the ultimate evaluations can be based. (Part of this laboratory analysis work will be completed in FY 72 and the remainder will be completed early in FY 73, assuming additional DOS funding in FY 73 is provided). Develop and submit to DOS the resultant survey and study reports (target date 9 months following completion of the survey). E. In all the above functions, work closely with the DOS Project Officer to accomplish overall DOS objectives. (To the extent feasible, the surveys and study should also recognize DBM interest in related fields.) Il. DOS-DBM Evaluation of Findings On the basis of NV‘s survey and study reports, it is understood that as in the past, DOS and DBM will be responsible for evaluation of survey and study data and assessment of impact on plans for human resettlement of the Bikini and Eniwetok atolls.
