EXISTING AEC-DOD AGREEMENT ON COST AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR OPERATION
OF EPG
Col. Watson, JTF-7, telephoned for our cament on a proposed
modification to subject agreement which would put it in "suspension"
indefinitely after the EPG transfer takes place. A copy of this
proposed modification is at
to ALOO for comment.
:
ol. Watson also phoned this
After Reeves read it and talked to General Hertford he phoned me to
say that ALOO prefers to completely cancel the existing joint
agreement rather than put it in suspension. General Hertford and
Reeves feel that if we go back to testing ,a wholly new joint
agreement tailored to the type of overation involved will be
necessary anyhow.
I suggested to Reeves that no changes 2e made to the existing
agreement until DMA accomplishes a bilateral agreement with DoD
on the transfer.
He agreed.
Recommend that after a satisfactory bilateral agreement on the
transfer of EPG is signed with DoD, ALOO be authorized to cancel
subject old agreement.
