hy 5 FINAL STATUS REPORT OF THE RADIOLOGICAL CLEANUP PROGRAM - BIKINI The following outline summarizes the present residual background gamma radiation levels determined on the islets of Bikini Atoll. Also included are notes on the disposition of radioactive scrap found. This outline essentially updates the interim Bikini status report forwarded to your office on 14 August 1969. Islands 1. Near Able (Bokbata) on the reef. a Summary of Cleanup Range 5-10 uR/hr. One small closure door on bunker and a couple of large pieces of metal in water were radioactive to 200-300 uR/hr. Remainder of scrap ranged from 10-40 uR/hr. 2. Alpha (Bokaetoktok) Range 5-15 uR/hr. No radioactive scrap. 3. Bravo (Bokdrolul ) Range 5-25 uR/hr. No radioactive scrap. 4, Several items of radioactive scrap in Charlie (Nam) range of 100-500 uR/hr disposed of at sea. Less active scrap buried. 5. Dog-Easy-Fox-George (Iroij-Okrik-LomilikAomen ) Range 10-500 uR/nr. Radioactive scrap in range of 100-500 uR/hr disposed of at sea. Less active scrap buried. 6. How (Bikini) Range 10-110 uR/hr. Small amount of radioactive scrap found and disposed of at sea. 7. Item (Bokantauk) Range 5-10 uR/hr. No scrap 8. Jig (Iomelen) Range 5-10 uR/hr. No radioactive scrap. 9.
