The field studies should provide a training area for biologists where concepts of radiological contamination of biotic material can be formulated. Scope of the Field Program To accomplish the objectives of the radiological contamination studies at Bikini-Eniwetok, the following three-phase program is suggested: Pretest at Eniwetok The main purpose of the field program would be the collec- tion of data and material; processing of material, counting of the activity, and evaluation of the data will be completed in laboratories on the mainland. For an evaluation of the present extent of radiation contamination resulting from previous weapons testing programs at Eniwetok, a number of collections should be made shortly before the new tests.
